Paintings and jewelry by Kelly M. Heflin
About Me
Kelly M. Heflin, spent most of her life in Nashville, Tennessee, then relocated to Memphis, Tennessee to pursue her career in law. Previously, as an art student at Middle Tennessee State University, she thrived on learning new artistic skills and techniques. Coupled with painting actively since the age of fourteen, her first art show was at the age of eighteen.
Her most influential mentor was her high school art instructor, Mr. Andrews Reynolds, who always pushed her to do her utmost best, and constantly inspired her to strengthen her creative vision. Another important influence was her mother, Virginia, who supported her natural talent, even to the extent of allowing her to paint murals on doors and walls throughout her house. Kelly's grandmother, Lucille, and her father, David, took a keen interest as well, providing the necessary support to facilitate creative thinking, as well as unconditional love to provide Kelly the confidence to be a successful artist.
Kelly taught art classes at MIFA (Les Passes division) during 2004-2005. She has donated several paintings to the American Heart Association over the years as well. Her paintings have shown at McEwen's On Monroe, Fresh Faces Salon, Lolo's Table, and Artists On Central. Additionally, she has an annual booth at the Cooper Young Festival.
